Creating To Dos¶
To Dos help you track tasks, action items, and follow-ups within a project. They can be assigned to team members, prioritized, and linked to chats.
Creating a To Do¶
From the Project Page¶
- Open a project and ensure you're on the To Dos tab (📋).
- Click New To Do in the project header.

Fill in the fields:
Field Required Details Title Yes What needs to be done (up to 300 characters). Description No Additional details (up to 2,000 characters). Priority Yes Low, Medium (default), or High. Status Yes Backlog (default), Work in Progress, Blocked, or Done. Assignee No Select a project member, or leave as "Unassigned." Due Date No An optional deadline. -
Click Create To Do.
From a Chat¶
You can also create a to-do directly from a chat:
- In a chat, click the New To Do button in the chat header.
- Fill in the same fields as above.
- The to-do is automatically linked to the current chat.
Editor or Admin required
You need the Editor or Admin role to create to-dos.
To Do Layout¶
To-dos are grouped into four status columns:

|---|---|
| Backlog | Tasks that haven't been started yet. |
| Work in Progress | Tasks currently being worked on. |
| Blocked | Tasks that are stuck or waiting on something. |
| Done | Completed tasks. |
Each to-do card shows:
- A status dot (clickable to change status).
- The title and priority badge (colored: High, Medium, Low).
- Assignee name and due date (if set). Overdue items are highlighted in red.
- A chat link — either "Go to Chat" (if linked) or "Discuss" (to create a linked chat).
- Edit and Delete buttons (for Editors and Admins).
Editing a To Do¶
- Click the edit icon on a to-do card.
- Update any fields.
- Click Save Changes.
Changing Status Quickly¶
You can change a to-do's status without opening the edit modal:
- Click the colored status dot on the left side of a to-do card.
- A dropdown appears with all four status options.
- Select the new status.
Deleting a To Do¶
- Click the delete icon on a to-do card.
- Confirm the deletion.
Warning
Deleted to-dos cannot be recovered.
