Linking To Dos to Chats¶
To-dos can be linked to chats, creating a two-way connection between tasks and conversations.
How Linking Works¶
A linked to-do shows a "Go to Chat" button on its card, which takes you directly to the associated conversation. Similarly, a to-do created from a chat is automatically linked.
Creating a Linked Chat from a To Do¶
If a to-do isn't linked to a chat yet, you'll see a "Discuss" button on the card:
- Click Discuss on the to-do card.
- The Create Chat modal opens with the to-do's title pre-filled.
- Select your chat type, model, and persona as usual.
- Click Create Chat.
The new chat is automatically linked to the to-do. You'll be taken to the chat.
Creating a To Do from a Chat¶
You can also go in the other direction — create a to-do from within a chat:
- In a chat, click the New To Do button in the chat header.
- Fill in the to-do fields.
- The to-do is automatically linked to the current chat.
Unlinking a Chat¶
If you want to remove the link between a to-do and a chat:
- Click the edit icon on the to-do card.
- In the edit modal, find the Linked Chat section.
- Click Unlink.
- Confirm the action.
Info
Unlinking doesn't delete the chat or the to-do — it just removes the connection between them.
Viewing the Linked Chat¶
- On the to-do card: click "Go to Chat" to navigate to the linked conversation.
- In the edit modal: the linked chat is shown with a "Go to Chat" link.
