AI Models¶
When creating an AI chat, you choose which AI model powers the conversation. Each model has different strengths, speed, and cost characteristics.
Available Models¶
Ogadu offers multiple AI models. When creating a chat, you'll see each model with its name, tier, and description.
One model is marked as Recommended — this is a good default choice for most tasks.
Model Characteristics¶
| Model | Best For | Speed | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Claude Opus | Complex reasoning, long documents, nuanced writing | Slower | Higher |
| Claude Sonnet | Balanced performance for most tasks | Medium | Medium |
| Claude Haiku | Quick answers, simple tasks, high-volume usage | Fast | Lower |
Choosing a model
- Start with the Recommended model for general use.
- Use Haiku for quick, simple tasks where speed matters more than depth.
- Use Opus for complex analysis, detailed writing, or tasks requiring deep reasoning.
Model Lock¶
The AI model is selected once when the chat is created and cannot be changed afterward. If you want to try a different model:
- Start a new chat with the desired model.
- Optionally, use the Branch feature to copy the conversation history into the new chat.
Cost¶
Different models have different per-token costs. You can see your spending broken down by model on the Usage & Billing page.
The cost of each AI operation depends on:
- The model used.
- The number of input tokens (your message + conversation history + knowledge base context).
- The number of output tokens (the AI's response).
