Project Settings

Project admins can modify project settings, manage budgets, and delete projects from the Settings modal.

Admin only

Only users with the Admin role can access project settings. See Roles & Permissions.

Accessing Settings

  1. Open a project.
  2. Click the Settings button in the project header.

General Settings

Field Limits Description
Project Name 100 characters Update the project's display name.
Description 500 characters Update the description shown on the project card and page.
Project Icon Change the emoji icon: 📁 💬 💻 📚 💡 🚀 ⭐ ❤️ 💼 🌍

Click Save Changes to apply.

What can't be changed

Billing type (Personal/Group) and billing mode (Each pays/Creator pays) are set at creation and cannot be changed.

Budget Management

The budget section shows three stats:

Stat Description
Used Total AI spending in this project so far.
Limit The current budget cap (or "Unlimited" if not set).
Remaining How much budget is left (limit minus used).

Setting a Budget Limit

  1. Enter a dollar amount in the budget limit input.
  2. Click Update Limit.

Removing a Budget Limit

Click Remove Limit to allow unlimited spending. You'll be asked to confirm.

Resetting Usage

Click Reset Usage to $0.00 to reset the cumulative spending counter.

Warning

Resetting usage sets the counter back to zero but does not refund any credits. This is useful for starting a new budget period.

Deleting a Project

The Danger Zone at the bottom of the settings modal lets you permanently delete the project.

  1. Click Delete Project.
  2. You'll be prompted to type the first 8 characters of the project ID to confirm.
  3. The project, all its chats, to-dos, and files will be permanently deleted.

Danger

This action cannot be undone. All data in the project will be lost.
